lily's approach
Performing is incredibly vulnerable, so my first priority as a teacher is to help my students feel that they are in a comfortable, trustworthy space to explore. Laughter is my favorite way in!
My next priority is championing students' strengths -- because without confidence in what we do well, it's sometimes hard to hear other kinds of feedback.
Lastly, I help students connect personally with material and get it performance ready. As a strong actor, singer and dancer myself, I have the know-how and tools to help adjust any performance to make it more clear, more interesting, and more polished.
