I am an incredibly dedicated and passionate instructor of all things "storytelling," and I am as alive in the classroom as I am on the stage. My goal as an educator is to help students believe in the beautiful power of their authentic selves -- perhaps the greatest gift we have to share.
When working with me, students can count on digestible and actionable feedback served with lots of laughter; we are playing make-believe in sequins, after all. I focus a lot on building up students' confidence and help guide them to best execute interesting and authentic storytelling. Whether you're looking to perform at a professional level or just want to gain some skills, confidence, and fun...you've come to the right place!
lily's approach
Performing is incredibly vulnerable, so my first priority as a teacher is to help students feel that they're in a comfortable, trustworthy space to explore. Laughter is my favorite way in!
My next priority is championing students' strengths -- without confidence in what we do well, it can be hard to hear other types of feedback.
Lastly, I help students connect personally with material and get it performance ready. After years of experience in the fields of singing, acting, dancing, and comedy, I have the know-how and tools to help adjust any performance to make it more clear, more interesting, and more polished.
